Job summary

T&M Associates in New Jersey is seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer for the CLD Market. You will expand client relationships in the public/government space, mentor teams, and champion the firm’s services across the Northeast region.

The role centers on leading projects as a Project Manager, overseeing the full lifecycle, building client trust, and driving growth. A hybrid work environment and robust benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• New Jersey Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Proven success in client relationship management in the civil/public sector.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Project Manager overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle—from opportunity development and proposal preparation to execution, financial management, quality control, and closeout.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients by providing strategic guidance.
• Represent T&M in the marketplace as a thought leader, building visibility in civic and industry organizations.
• Identify clients’ upcoming needs and concerns, recommending services and solutions.
• Promote T&M’s capabilities across all sectors, identifying opportunities for cross-selling services.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
• Provide mentorship to Client Manager staff and support their professional development.

T&M Associates is seeking a seasoned and client focused Civil Engineer for our NJ Community and Land Development (CLD) Market. As a key leader in the CLD Market, you will play a pivotal role in expanding client relationships in the public/government space, impacting growth, managing projects and elevating T&M's presence in the Northeast region. You'll collaborate with clients, mentor internal teams, and champion T&M's full suite of services across sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a Project Manager overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle—from opportunity development and proposal preparation to execution, financial management, quality control, and closeout-while ensuring technical excellence, client satisfaction, and identification of future business opportunities.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients by providing strategic guidance and anticipating their evolving needs.
• Represent T&M in the marketplace as a thought leader, building visibility through active engagement in civic, professional, and industry organizations.
• Proactively identify clients’ upcoming needs and concerns, recommending appropriate services and solutions to support their goals.
• Promote T&M’s capabilities across all business sectors, identifying opportunities for cross-selling services.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to Client Manager staff, supporting their professional development and performance.

T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $130,000-$165,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
