Job summary

Wightman is seeking a Civil Engineer for Municipal Services with a track record in working with municipal clients and leading projects across stormwater, sanitary, water and roads. The role emphasizes business development, client relations and project oversight.

The candidate should bring 8+ years in the A/E/C industry, PE licensure in Michigan, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with ability to manage multiple engagements and travel locally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• PE licensure in Michigan
• 8+ years experience managing municipal projects
• 8+ years of experience in A/E/C industry with municipal client retention/attraction

Responsibilities

• Maintain and foster relationships with municipal clients and stakeholders
• Provide strong technical leadership for storm, sanitary, water and local roads projects
• Oversee project teams, schedule workloads, and coordinate with other locations to deliver projects
• Prepare proposals and estimate fees for services
• Identify funding mechanisms to support municipal projects and pursue funding options
