Job summary

Jobot seeks a Municipal Engineer to join our West Michigan team, delivering civil infrastructure designs for public works projects including roads, water, and sewer systems. You will design and supervise construction, using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation, while coordinating with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in municipal civil engineering, strong technical and communication skills, and a drive to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of civil engineering experience focused on municipal projects and site development.

Responsibilities

Design, plan, and supervise infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, water/sewer).
Create detailed plans using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to meet timelines and budgets.
Conduct site inspections for compliance with design specs and safety standards.
Prepare reports and project updates for municipal officials.
Assist with bid documents, cost estimates, and schedules.
Stay current with industry regulations and trends.
Provide mentorship to junior staff.
