Job summary

Five Star Bank is seeking a Municipal Business Officer to manage a portfolio of municipal clients and act as their primary financial advisor. The role includes prospecting new municipal business while deepening existing relationships across cities, counties, towns, and school districts.

The MBO will collaborate with branches to ensure sales and service standards, stay current on regulations, and support depository and cash management needs. Strong communication and market knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 7+ years of Banking, Financial Services or business-related experience. 3+ years of experience with direct municipal Industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit new and existing municipal customers to assess needs and propose products/services.
• Mentor and coach branch staff to meet sales and service standards.
• Stay updated on bank products/services for municipal customers and employees.
• Assist in pricing bids for municipal debt obligations and participate in debt closings.
• Provide training on Digital Banking, Cash Management, and Lockbox services.
