Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Two years of trade school or related experience preferred
• Industrial experience in a similar industry preferred
• Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficient in basic mechanical or electrical skills
• Excellent precision measuring ability
• Understanding of plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and steam systems
• Understand practical aspects of preventative, predictive maintenance and lubrication
• Able to read blueprints and plans for construction at plant level
• Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of machine equipment and hand tools.
• Troubleshoot a problem beyond basic component replacement within two or more specific trades.
• Maintain equipment records and administer preventative maintenance programs.
• Installation, alteration, and repair of various types of production equipment.
• Administer LOTO, confined space and OSHA guidelines.
• Work safely per regulations and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain production schedules and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives
• Operate and use general mechanical and light power tools; read blueprints.
