The La Mesa-Spring Valley School District is seeking a Skilled Maintenance Worker II to perform a range of skilled trades across construction, painting, electrical, masonry, plumbing and carpentry. The role supports safe, functional facilities for students and staff and may involve supervision of other maintenance workers.
Responsibilities include inspecting facilities, coordinating with contractors, maintaining preventive maintenance, and responding to safety issues.
Formación
- Graduation from high school or GED with four years of skilled trades experience.
- Experience in construction, maintenance and repair across multiple trades.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and proper use of tools.
Responsabilidades
- Perform skilled maintenance across electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC trades.
- Inspect facilities, identify repairs and ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Coordinate with site personnel and contractors; maintain records and reports.
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools; participate in preventive maintenance.
- Respond to emergencies and provide guidance to junior maintenance staff.
