Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member in Boca Raton, FL, to ensure all mechanical systems are operational and common areas are clean, safe, and disinfected. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working full-time hours (Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm) with pay at $24-$25/hr, and performing diverse repair tasks across trades.

You will routinely inspect floors, follow safety procedures, and coordinate with building staff while completing daily work orders and maintaining equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• 2+ years general experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance or handyman work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Multilingual abilities are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routinely walks floors including roof checking for problems and lights out and reports back to supervisors.
• Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
• Maintains working relationship with building staff.
• Painting of all common areas and touch up may be required; inspect areas that need paint and advise manager.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition.
• Properly performs casual labor, such as lifting/moving heavy items as directed by supervisors and following safety procedures.
• Performs maintenance replacement and repairs in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring and other building repairs.
