Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled work across multiple trades, including carpentry, framing, finish work, and general construction
  • Interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Complete repairs, installations, and modifications on a variety of construction projects
  • Assist with layout, measurements, and material preparation
  • Troubleshoot field issues and develop practical solutions
  • Maintain high standards for workmanship and job site safety
  • Coordinate with supervisors, subcontractors, and crew members to keep projects on schedule
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and light construction equipment
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment
  • Assist in training or guiding less experienced crew members when needed
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites
  • Follow company policies, project specifications, and safety regulations
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on construction experience
  • Demonstrated experience in multiple trades such as carpentry, framing, finish work, drywall, concrete, or minor electrical/plumbing
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills in the field
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and common construction equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in outdoor conditions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of job site safety practices and OSHA standards
Preferred Qualifications
  • Foreman or crew lead experience
  • Public works or government project experience
  • Equipment operation experience
  • OSHA certification or safety training
