Job summary

SUNY Niagara is seeking a highly skilled Building Maintenance Person II to join our Operations team. This role involves independent, hands-on work performing a variety of mechanical, operational, and maintenance tasks across our campuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Three (3) years of paid experience in large-scale facilities maintenance in more than one skilled trade.
• Valid New York State motor vehicle license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate heating boilers, pumps, and related equipment; perform preventive maintenance to ensure efficiency.
• Perform carpentry tasks including drywall, framing, doors, windows, and finishing work.
• Assist with renovation and repair projects requiring precise measurements and material selection.
• Work across two campuses: Sanborn and Niagara Falls Culinary Institute.
• Supervise others when assigned and coordinate with external contractors.
