Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years' experience in commercial and/or residential construction.
• Knowledge of major construction trades: building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical/ HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Conducts on-site field inspections for building, electrical, plumbing, fuel gas and mechanical codes.
• Inspects construction or repairs for compliance with codes and city ordinances.
• Documents inspection results and enforces notices of violation and citations.
• Communicates findings clearly to property owners, contractors and City staff.
