Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Vocational certification or college course work in related fields preferred.
• Two years’ previous facility maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and instruments.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Memorize and retain detail.
• Problem solving and reasoning ability.
• Performs as an effective team member.

Responsibilities

• Maintains floors, parking lots, curbs, sidewalks and other paved or graveled areas by power and/or hand scrubbing, sweeping and vacuuming.
• Cleans and maintains storage cabinets, windows, doors, guard rails, and other fixtures. Empties trash dumpsters, recycle containers and scrap bins.
• Maintains hydraulic hoists, hoist controls, pumps and plumbing by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and keeping accurate records.
• Performs maintenance and keeps records on fire prevention system (smoke alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, hoses, etc.). Supervises preventative maintenance by subcontractors. Assists with annual fire alarm and riser.
• Performs preventative maintenance and supervision and support for contaminated waste processing, storage, removal and disposal.
• Cleans all primary and secondary waste containers at all AAATA facilities.
• Maintains the fleet fueling system(s) using preventative maintenance, record keeping, repairing or supervising the repair of fuel system meters, hoses, nozzles, underground tanks, valves, filters, pipes, pumps, etc.
