Job summary

Pima Community College Learning Center is seeking a part-time tutor to assist students in developing comprehension and effective study habits. Tutoring occurs one-on-one, in groups, or embedded in classes, with CRLA ITTPC certification as a training requirement.

The role may include evenings and weekends and supports a diverse student population. Position is a temporary part-time with flexible scheduling; prior tutoring excellence and CRLA Level I certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven classroom excellence in tutoring subjects.
• CRLA Level I certification within one year of employment.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students one-on-one, in groups, or embedded in classes.
• Help students develop comprehension and study strategies.
• Encourage self-confidence, effective study habits, and time management.
• Report equipment or materials issues to Learning Center personnel.
• Establish cooperative relationships with diverse students and staff.
