Job summary

Delta Utilities is seeking a Tax Accounting Analyst to support its tax accounting and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will help prepare accruals, tax filings (state and local, including sales tax), and property tax reporting while ensuring regulatory compliance in a regulated utility environment.

The role requires 1–3+ years in accounting/tax, strong Excel and ERP experience, and a CPA path is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3+ years of accounting, tax, or related experience.
• Strong accounting and reconciliation knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability.
• ERP experience.
• Preferred: utility or regulated industry experience.
• Exposure to SALT taxes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record tax accruals and supporting workpapers.
• Prepare state and local tax filings, including sales and use tax.
• Support property tax reporting and compliance activities.
• Assist with tax audits and information requests.
• Reconcile tax-related accounts and support close processes.
• Monitor deadlines and maintain compliance documentation.
• Support process improvements and internal controls. Other duties as assigned.
