Job summary

Arclin is seeking a State Tax Manager to oversee sales & use tax, property tax and SALT compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will coordinate with external CPA firms, ensure accurate filings, and drive efficiency in state tax processes.

The role requires a strong knowledge of ERP tax coding, GAAP reporting, and the ability to advise on tax incentives and changes. Collaboration with Accounting, Operations, and Procurement is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• Masters of Tax is a plus.
• 6–10 years in state and local taxation with sales & use tax oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead state tax compliance (sales & use, franchise, property, SALT) and planning.
• Coordinate with external CPA firms and review their deliverables for accuracy.
• Oversee monthly state tax reporting and timely payments across jurisdictions.
• Work with ERP systems to ensure accurate state tax coding for customers and vendors.
• Monitor notices and audits; coordinate responses with external advisors.
• Evaluate nexus and registration requirements as markets expand.
• Assist in state tax provision calculations and financial reporting under GAAP.
• Research state tax law changes and incentives impacting operations.
• Support due diligence in M&A and integration related SALT reviews.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline outsourced compliance workflow.
