Job summary

Elgen Staffing is seeking an experienced Screw Machine Operator for a position in Worcester, MA. The role requires operating two or more multiple-spindle screw machines, reading blueprints, and performing precision inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.

You will record inspection data in Microsoft Excel, adjust machines to maintain tolerance, and uphold quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating screw machines and reading blueprints is required.
• Ability to inspect parts with precision measuring tools.
• Follows quality, safety, and production procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate a minimum of two multiple-spindle screw machines.
• Read blueprints, setup sheets, and specifications.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, and optical comparators.
• Stop production when parts are out of specification.
• Make machine adjustments to bring parts back into tolerance.
• Record control-plan inspection data in Microsoft Excel.
• Maintain proper machine oil levels and remove/manage chips.
• Follow quality, safety, and production procedures.
