Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Multispecialty Sonographer for the Oakbrook Terrace location to join our full-time daytime imaging team. You will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams across abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, breast and MSK, review requests, operate equipment, educate patients, and document findings for radiologists.

This role offers 40 hours per week, an hourly salary range of $40.79–$57.10, and competitive benefits including tuition reimbursement, loan forgiveness, and 401(k)

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Sonography Program.
• Certified in two American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (ARDMS) areas and one additional ARDMS certification obtained within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, breast, and MSK.
• Review imaging requests and determine appropriate examination protocols.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures.
• Accurately document imaging procedures and transmit studies to PACS.
• Assist with patient positioning and transport as needed.
• Maintain equipment and supply inventory; support department quality initiatives.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Sonography Program
