Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program in an approved school.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists for radiography.

Responsibilities

• Conducts requested testing in the Radiology department per physician's orders.
• Obtains patient’s clinical history before beginning any exam.
• Evaluates radiographs for technical quality before delivery to the radiologist.

Skills

Competency in collimation, positioning and techniques

Proficiency with various radiology machines

Professional communication skills

Education

High School Graduate or equivalent

Formal radiologic technology training program

Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

State of Illinois licensure (or willing to apply)

BLS Certification
