Job summary

CLS Health in Houston, Texas is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support multispecialty clinics. You will room patients, take vitals, update complaints and histories, and prepare charts and documents.

The role requires a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant, at least two years of experience, and bilingual ability. You will handle chart preparation, referrals, and patient education, with daily travel to CLS Health locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with a nationally recognized accreditation organization
• Minimum of two years of Medical Assistant experience
• Must be bilingual (English/Spanish or other)

Responsibilities

• Room patients and take vitals.
• Interview/update chief complaint and medical history.
• Prepare patient charts in advance and verify benefits reports.
• Scan documents to patient charts and maintain organized files.
• Stock and clean exam rooms before/after visits and end of day.
• Assist physicians with procedures and wound care.
• Obtain pre-authorization for medications as needed.
• Follow up on calls and document interactions.
• Schedule upcoming appointments after visits.
