Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• MA certificate or 1 year MA clinical experience; or equivalent military training.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document patient data (chief complaints, vitals, allergies, medications, immunizations, health history).
• Triage patients and notify physician of urgent findings or pending lab results; administer CPR as needed.
• Prepare and administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per physician order and protocol; document appropriately.
• Conduct point-of-care tests, collect and handle specimens correctly; dispose of infectious and hazardous waste per standards.
• Assist with procedures and patient education; maintain EPIC work queues and stock exam rooms.
