Job summary

Associated Wholesale Grocers seeks a skilled maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and sweepers. You will diagnose issues, weld or fabricate as needed, and keep accurate maintenance records.

The role requires reading schematics, using precision measuring tools, and adhering to safety protocols. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently are essential for success in this warehouse

Qualifications

• Experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical or material-handling equipment.
• Experience maintaining and repairing electric forklifts, electric pallet jacks, propane-powered sweepers, or similar warehouse equipment preferred.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pipe-fitting, fabrication, and general building maintenance practices.
• Experience repairing mechanical damage and replacing damaged parts.
• Welding, brazing, soldering, and fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment using schematics, drawings, manuals, and other diagnostic resources.
• Ability to document maintenance, inspections, repairs, parts usage, and inventory electronically.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on warehouse equipment and related systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and replace damaged components as needed.
• Perform welding, brazing, soldering, and fabrication where required.
• Maintain and repair warehouse structure elements like racking, floors, and piping.
• Read schematics and manuals to guide troubleshooting and repair.
• Use tools and testing devices to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Order repair parts and maintain accurate parts inventory records.
• Document maintenance activities and keep computerized records up to date.
