Job summary

OSI Group in West Chicago, IL is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to service production lines and keep equipment running efficiently. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, requiring hands-on maintenance, welding and fabrication as needed.

You will read schematics and manuals, troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and perform preventive maintenance. The job requires 3-5 years in a related field and a high school diploma; an Associate degree is

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance or related field.
• Knowledge of inverters and proximity switches.
• Ability to service and troubleshoot equipment.
• Read blueprints.
• Basic refrigeration knowledge.
• Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute job orders and maintain accurate records.
• Troubleshoot equipment to keep machinery in efficient operation.
• Read schematics and manuals related to equipment.
• Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
• Service electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Operate machine shop tools to service equipment.
• Provide on-the-job training to other maintenance team members.
• Maintain safety procedures and policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
