Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Multiskilled Craftsman to develop on-the-job skills maintaining buildings, industrial systems, and equipment on an ongoing basis.

This role sits in the Engineering and Technical Services band and involves support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on facility systems. Applicants should be able to follow safety procedures and communicate effectively. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college program or technical school.
• Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to develop skills to perform basic activities in own job.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Receive training from current engineers in proper job safety and repair procedures.
• Observe engineers while they perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Work with management to ensure energy management by taking measures to verify that all systems are operating in the most efficient manner.
• Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
