Job summary

Walmart seeks a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair stores, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring safety and aesthetics. You will follow schedules, perform inspections, and respond to maintenance requests in a fast-paced retail environment.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a valid driver’s license. CDL eligibility and trades experience are a plus; this is a full-time, benefits-eligible role at Walmart locations across the region.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and ability to pass MVR.
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in trades such as plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using craft skills.
• Use work order system to manage repair requests and document activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete training to operate equipment and tools safely.
