Job summary

GAF’s manufacturing facility in Chester seeks a candidate to operate and learn multiple positions such as Loader, Fiber Feeder Operator, Rewinder Operator, Utility, and A-Station. The role includes housekeeping, logistics support, and safe operation of equipment with required protective gear.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions; solve problems with a few variables.

Responsibilities

• Train and become proficient in multiple operating positions (Loader, Fiber Feeder Operator, Rewinder Operator, Utility, A-Station).
• Participate in housekeeping for the assigned crew and in short stop/down day activities.
• Assist with the logistics department and operate machinery safely per procedures.
• Load/unload material using a forklift and/or clamp-truck; handle basic material handling tools.
• Maintain accurate operational records and work as part of a team with a positive attitude.
