Job summary

Aerotek in Detroit, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep manufacturing equipment running safely and efficiently. You will work with a small team on preventive and reactive maintenance across pumps, conveyors, and gearboxes.

The role requires 3+ years in mechanical/electrical maintenance, reading blueprints, and PLC troubleshooting; live onsite in Detroit with a competitive hourly pay range and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in mechanical maintenance and repairs
• Experience with pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and motors
• Experience with PMs on production equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
• Experience with relay and PLC troubleshooting
• On-site maintenance in manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Perform daily preventive maintenance on equipment and log activities
• Respond to breakdowns and restore production quickly and safely
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical components
• Perform welding, plumbing, lubrication tasks
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components up to 480V
• Read blueprints and electrical schematics to diagnose issues
• Use PLC diagnostics to trace electrical issues without modifying programs
