Job summary

Aerotek in Port Huron, MI is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to repair and maintain industrial production machinery in a high-volume manufacturing environment, performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on automated equipment.

You will handle hydraulic pumps, cylinders, and lines, troubleshoot machine performance and support continuous production, including weekend shifts and extended hours when needed in a plant operating stamping cells and conveyors.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of machine repair experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Hands-on hydraulics experience: repair/rebuild pumps, cylinders or rams, hydraulic lines.
• Ability to perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on automated machinery.
• Capability to edit Fanuc robot teach points or troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Strong troubleshooting for machine performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Respond to down machine calls and diagnose issues on automated equipment.
• Carry out electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on production machinery.
• Repair and rebuild hydraulic components to ensure safe operation.
• Troubleshoot machine performance using systematic problem-solving techniques.
• Perform robotic teach point edits on Fanuc robots when applicable.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and replace/repair components as needed.
• Support continuous production with extended shifts and weekends when required.
• Collaborate with maintenance teammates across shifts to balance workload.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status to supervisors.
