Job summary

Butler Radio in Detroit, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance support, perform preventative maintenance, monitor equipment condition, and implement repairs across plant processes.

The role requires 3+ years in electrical, plumbing, welding, and instrumentation with strong mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills; you will troubleshoot hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems while supporting daily operations and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience with electrical, plumbing, welding, pipe fitting and instrumentation.
• Ability to assist with troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical type equipment.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude skills.
• Computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance (PM) tasks according to manufacturers' recommendations and PM schedules.
• Performs general plant or equipment maintenance in all areas as required.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, rebuilds pumps for the various processes.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots minor electrical problems such as fuses, heaters, motors, and relays.
• Troubleshoots, calibrates, and performs routine maintenance on instrument controls, measuring temperatures, flows, pressures, levels, and other operating variables.
• Assists and provides support in performing daily tasks including tool changes; assists operators or material handlers.
• Fabricates, builds structural devices as needed for the departments.
