Job summary

The WEST VIRGINIA WELCOME CENTER MANAGER—WV DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM—KANAWHA CO. role oversees seven information desks statewide and drives service excellence across all locations.

You will supervise staff, manage operations, and coordinate with partner agencies to ensure smooth day-to-day activities. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree and at least two years of customer service leadership in a fast-paced environment; travel and flexible scheduling may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in tourism, hospitality, or related field.
• Minimum two years in customer service in high-volume environment.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret laws and regulations.
• Experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee seven statewide information desks.
• Manage brochure distribution program.
• Ensure compliance with marketing materials.
• Direct staff and handle operations and emergencies.
• Coordinate with WV Division of Highways and Rehabilitation.
• Maintain records and prepare reports.
• Attend Department conferences and events.
• Lead training and develop new processes.
