Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the care team across Downers Grove, Aurora and Naperville. The role combines clinical and administrative tasks to ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and compassionate service as part of ambulatory care.

You will welcome patients, record vital signs, prepare for exams, assist with procedures, administer vaccines, and document care in the electronic health record, working with physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant diploma or 2 years MA experience, or CMA with 2 years experience.
• Phlebotomy skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
