Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Unit Safety Manager to support a client in Rahway, NJ. The ideal candidate brings strong pharmaceutical operations and industrial hygiene experience, and the proven ability to lead complex environmental, health, and safety programs.

You will oversee Quality Assurance and all Food, Physical, and Environmental Safety across a multisite portfolio, deliver training, conduct audits, mitigate hazards, and drive continuous improvement while partnering with site leaders to strengthen

Qualifications

Experience leading HS&E programs across multiple locations or within complex operational portfolios.
Knowledge of OSHA 30 requirements and site-specific regulatory standards.
Expertise in Federal, State, and local regulations including Hazardous Energy Control, Confined Space Entry, Asbestos, Lead, GHS/Right to Know, Fall Prevention, and Stormwater.
Experience conducting audits, evaluating hazards, implementing mitigation tools, and training staff.
Skill in analyzing incident trends, chemical exposures, and sustainability factors.

Responsibilities

Lead HS&E programs across multiple sites, influence safety and compliance.
Provide HS&E expertise during due diligence, transitions, and stabilization of new accounts.
Partner with site leaders to strengthen safety culture, deliver training, and conduct audits.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and regulatory engagements.
