Job summary

JEM Wellness Brands, Crunch Fitness franchise operator, seeks a hands-on Facility Technician in the Chicago area to maintain club facilities and equipment across multiple locations. You will perform repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and painting, travel between sites, and support safety, cleanliness, and member experience.

Must have 2+ years facility maintenance; valid driver’s license; ability to lift 50+ lbs; CPR/AED certification (or obtain within 30 days).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance, mechanical repair, or related field.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems; ability to diagnose and repair.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, willingness to travel between locations.
• CPR/AED certification required (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair commercial fitness equipment and facility systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and facility issues and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Perform general building maintenance: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting.
• Travel between club locations and prioritize work based on safety and operations.
