Centro de la Familia de Utah is seeking a Center Aide Substitute to support classroom activities, supervise play, and promote health, safety, and readiness for young learners. The role may involve transfers to multiple locations within the center and collaboration with the Education Specialist.

The position emphasizes safety, developmentally appropriate activities, and strong teamwork with teachers. CPR/First Aid and Food Handler permits may be required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Entry-level position; enthusiasm to work with children is essential.
• Physical tasks include lifting up to 50 pounds and floor activities.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred; CDA or AA in ECE is advantageous.
• Be prepared to present CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler permits or obtain them within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support and supervision.
• Ensure a safe playground environment and student well-being.
• Support health, safety, and school readiness of young learners.
• Assist with transportation, kitchen operations, family services, and developmental activities.
• Collaborate with teachers to engage children in activities and maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Uphold hygiene and CACFP meal service guidelines.
