Job summary

Propel Schools is seeking a Custodian for Propel East to support the Facilities Department. The role is based at Propel East and available immediately, with a rate of $18/hr and year-round work.

The custodian will perform janitorial duties including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining floors, restrooms, and surrounding areas. The position reports to the Director of Facilities and requires physical stamina and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older and have reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Follow safety instructions regarding chemicals and housekeeping equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize the school facility and grounds.
• Wipe, sweep, mop, wash, vacuum, polish, and wax floors.
• Clean windows, woodwork, furniture and equipment.
• Maintain rest-room supplies and dispose of trash.
• Perform unskilled maintenance tasks and outdoor cleaning.
• Work as part of the Facilities Team under the Director of Facilities.
