Job summary
Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is seeking a Multiservice Librarian for the East Las Vegas Library. Under general supervision, you will provide reference, reader's advisory, and program support using catalogs and ILS, while assisting customers with room reservations and event calendars.
Required is a Master’s in Library Science (MLS/MLIS) and at least one year of library customer service experience.
Qualifications
- MLS/MLIS degree from an ALA-accredited program.
- 1 year customer service in a library or academic setting.
- Nevada driver's license at time of hire.
- PIC Training completed within 6 months of start.
- AED/CPR certification completed within 6 months and maintained.
Responsibilities
- Supervises assigned staff, including coaching, development, and conflict resolution.
- Assists with collection maintenance and development activities (reading reviews, ordering, weeding).
- Ensures policy compliance and helps plan outreach and library programming.
- Maintains knowledge of current information resources and research techniques.
- Attends professional association meetings and trainings as needed.
