Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Library Science (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA-accredited program.
• Three years of professional librarian experience with at least two years at a branch associate or department head level.
• Valid Nevada Driver's License at time of hire.
• Completion of LVCCLD PIC Training or PIC Training within 6 months of hire.
• AED/CPR certification must be completed within six months and kept current.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Mesquite Library branch.
• Provide administrative supervision to branch managers and staff, including coaching and development.
• Oversee branch projects, programs, vendors, and committees to support branch goals.
• Build community partnerships and lead outreach aligning with district goals.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, codes, and district policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
