Job summary

Learning a la Carte in the DMV region is seeking dedicated Math Tutors to support students in grades 5–12 with multisensory, structured instruction.

You will assess progress, tailor lessons to individual needs, and collaborate with families to ensure alignment with goals. This subcontractor role offers flexible scheduling, in-person and virtual sessions, and opportunities for mentorship within a specialist-driven team.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching math (grades 5–12) using multisensory or structured methods.
• Ability to plan differentiated instruction and use manipulatives.
• Excellent communication and organization; student-centered mindset.
• Reliable transportation for DMV in-person sessions; virtual sessions possible.

Responsibilities

• Deliver multisensory, structured math instruction.
• Work with students in grades 5–12 on topics from number sense to algebra, geometry, statistics and problem solving.
• Assess student skill levels, track progress, identify gaps, and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with families to ensure alignment with student goals and tutoring matches our client-first culture.
• Maintain professional documentation (lesson plans, progress reports, communication with families).
