Job summary

Wood County Educational Service Center is seeking a Northwood 1:1 Paraprofessional to provide educational and personal support for a student in a Multiple Disabilities classroom at Wood Lane School. The role operates under the guidance of the Intervention Specialist.

Responsibilities include assisting with educational and mobility needs, maintaining documentation, preparing instructional materials, and following each student's IEP.

Qualifications

• Provide educational and personal support in a Multiple Disabilities classroom setting.
• Assist in maintaining accurate documentation of student progress.
• Assist teacher in preparing materials for instruction.
• Assist in daily modifications per the student's goals.
• Ensure supervision of the student and maintain safety.
• Attend student and staff meetings and communicate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow WCESC Policy Handbook and District Code of Conduct.
• Follow each student's individualized education plan (IEP).
• Report unusual incidents using school forms.
• Collaborate with classroom teacher and staff to support learning objectives.
• Support mobility, self-care, and behavioral goals in the classroom.
• Assist with behavioral interventions and supports as directed.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment for the student.
• Maintain classroom routines and structure as directed.
• Participate in required trainings after hire (CPR/First Aid, Positive Supports First, Medication Administration)
