Job summary

WBRE/WYOU seeks a streaming content producer to create and manage content for digital platforms, including a connected TV app, YouTube channel and website live streams. This is a technical and creative role working closely with the digital team, newsroom leaders, reporters and engineering.

You will collaborate with video journalists to optimize content for broadcast and social, schedule programming for the connected TV app, manage YouTube strategy, and supervise live streams and guest interviews.

Qualifications

Degree in journalism, video production or related field.
Experience producing streaming and social video content.
Understanding of digital platforms, trends and audience behaviors.
Knowledge of WordPress, OBS/vMix, Akta or similar CMS.
Strong writing and editorial ability.
Ability to adjust schedule for major/breaking news events.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
3+ years’ experience in a local newsroom preferred.

Responsibilities

Create content optimized for broadcast television, websites and social media.
Schedule connected TV app programming and craft engaging content blocks.
Manage YouTube strategy to grow audience and loyalty.
Organize source materials into multimedia pieces and video streams.
Assist with live streams of breaking news, daily events and pre-planned programming.
