Job summary

Spectrum News NECN is seeking a Photojournalist to shoot and edit material for newscasts, elevating stories with fresh angles and lighting. You’ll collaborate with a team to create compelling, timely content for TV, connected TV, and digital platforms.

The role requires travel to cover local stories and interact with the community, plus a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds. You’ll work in a fast-paced newsroom environment, bringing curiosity and storytelling

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience shooting and editing television news footage.
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field, or comparable television work experience.
• Operate ENG/SNG/Satellite vehicles and bonded cellular streaming.
• Clear communication of solutions; relate to populations and ages.
• Positive attitude, eager to solve problems; lift up to 100 pounds; distinguish colors and sounds.
• Willingness to travel to cover local stories and interact with the community.
• Flexible shifts and standby responsibilities; valid driver's license in residence state.
