Job summary

KHOU-TV, the CBS TEGNA affiliate, is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Journalist to maintain our tradition of compelling reporting across TV and digital platforms. You will craft unique, well‑written stories and share them with a mix of strong photography and editing.

Must have 3–5 years of reporting experience, solid news judgment, and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure. Houston knowledge is a plus; ENPS, EDIUS and Axis graphics experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years reporting experience preferred.
• Solid news judgment, strong communication, creativity and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Perform authoritative live shots in breaking news.
• Develop story ideas for TV and online.
• Mine the community to find sources and tips.
• Shoot, write, produce and edit content for on-air and online.
• Use graphics and social tools to enhance stories.
