Qualifications

• Degree in journalism; daily newspaper or news site experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Associated Press style.
• Live, working web samples and/or print pages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads a winning strategy for station content.
• Reviews copy and corrects errors in content, grammar, and punctuation.
• Uses social media and the website to reinforce brand and drive viewers.
• Determines a story's emphasis, length, and format, and organizes material accordingly.
• Gathers information from events through research, interviews, or attendance at functions.
• Pitches on-brand local and trending stories during morning meetings.
