Job summary

The WVU Medicine Center for Organ Transplantation seeks a Multiorgan Transplant Surgeon (Assistant/Associate/Professor) to practice in Morgantown, WV. The role includes performing deceased donor liver, kidney and pancreas transplants, organ procurement, and participating in living donor programs.

Candidates will engage in pre- and post-operative care, contribute to candidate/donor evaluations, and join a collaborative committee with teaching responsibilities for students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligible for state medical license.
• Completed general surgery residency and abdominal transplant fellowship.
• Board certified or eligible.
• All qualifications must be met by time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Practice multiorgan transplant surgery including deceased donor liver, kidney and pancreas transplantation, and organ procurement.
• Participate in living donor liver and kidney transplantation and provide pre- and post-operative care.
• Join a shared transplant call schedule.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
