Job summary

Capital Health seeks an experienced Ultrasonography Technician to perform general, perinatal and vascular studies, ensuring high standards of patient care. The role requires ARRT/S and RDMS credentials, familiarity with ACR standards, and ability to work with radiologists and physicians.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of ultrasonography including general, perinatal and vascular procedures.
• ARRT(S) and CCI-RVS OR RDMS Ob/Gyn and RDMS Abdomen registries; RVS or RVT certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs first trimester perinatal, vascular and general ultrasounds.
• Interprets exams with attention to anatomy and pathology; uses appropriate technique.
• Adheres to policies; ensures exams are optimized for interpretation.
• Provides accurate data, clinical history and interpretation results.
• Completes temporary reports and CHARTING; sends images to PACS.
• Collaborates with perinatologist, radiologist, referring physicians and vascular surgeon.
• Maintains equipment, exam rooms and a safe work environment.
• Troubleshoots equipment issues and reports failures; conducts routine cleaning.
• Follows infection control and patient safety practices.
