Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the St. Vincent Hospital Multimodality department in Avon, IN. The PRN role focuses on patient positioning, image accuracy, and rapid PACS submission.

You will perform procedures, ensure radiation safety, and support advanced clinical work under regulatory standards. A series of credentialing and education requirements apply, with opportunities to contribute to a compassionate health system.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date (or transfer)
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program within 6 months
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from CCI within 6 months
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography (ARRT) credential within 6 months
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from ARDMS within 6 months
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience

Responsibilities

• Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
• Prepare, perform and assist the physician in special and advanced procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Help position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and other areas in department.
