Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Austin, TX is seeking a PRN Multimodality Technologist supervised by a Radiologist. The role performs imaging in two or more modalities with 25% focus on advanced areas like CT, MR, Nuc Med, or IR, serving ambulatory and hospital patients per physician orders.

Responsibilities include high-quality procedures, dose monitoring, patient communication, appropriate positioning, safety, and documentation in imaging systems.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Program.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Licensed MRT or ARRT credentials as applicable per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality multimodality imaging procedures across two or more modalities.
• Maintains imaging quality and adheres to exam protocols.
• Monitors radiation dose and takes action to keep exposure within reference levels.
• Communicates with patients using AIDET to ensure comfort and safety.
• Prepares patients and equipment, positions patients, and applies appropriate exposure factors.
• Ensures safety, infection control, and sterile technique for invasive procedures.
• Maintains equipment, room cleanliness, and supplies; liaises with engineering staff as needed.
• Maintains documentation and imaging records in the department systems.
