Job summary

Caltrans in San Luis Obispo County is seeking an Associate Transportation Planner to support interdisciplinary planning tasks and contribute to a balanced multimodal program. You will assist with PIDs, data management, and workload reporting, while collaborating on statewide and regional planning efforts.

Eligible applicants may telework partially; travel to the headquarters region may be required. Work involves coordinating with diverse teams on climate, air quality, land-use, and mobility

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and organize activities that integrate social, economic, environmental, transportation, and land-use considerations.
• Assist with development of Project Initiation Documents (PIDs) and support workload reporting tools and data management.
• Support development of the State Highway Operation Protection Program (SHOPP) 5-year plan and related activities.
