Job summary

TEGNA Inc. in Seattle seeks an experienced News Photojournalist to produce high-quality content under tight deadlines for on-air and digital platforms. You will independently craft stories, pitch long-form projects, and work with top editors in a union-enabled environment.

The role requires strong shooting, editing, and storytelling skills with experience in ENG and digital workflows; willingness to travel and adapt to a fast-paced newsroom.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in TV photojournalism and/or news editing, or 2+ years with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to lift up to 40 lbs, occasionally 80.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Capture video and audio to craft news, sports, and feature stories for on-air and streaming platforms.
• Collaborate with reporters to shape story vision.
• Independently gather and create stories with journalistic creativity.
• Edit stories using Edius and Adobe Premiere; create day-turn graphics.
• Generate vertical videos for digital and streaming apps.
• Operate ENG vans and live remote equipment.
