Job summary

TEGNA Inc. through KPNX/12News seeks a full-time ENG/Video Editor/Photographer to craft high-quality local news content for on-air and digital platforms.

The role requires coordinating with executive producers, producers and reporters to meet tight deadlines and deliver compelling visuals with strong communication and teamwork. Ideal candidates will handle live feeds, ensure quality control, create engaging graphics, and contribute to morning/evening shows.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years of experience as a non-linear editor in a local TV news department.
• Must have a valid driver license with a clean record.
• Must be able to drive various vehicles including oversized trucks and vans.
• Experience with Edius and ENPS is a plus; proficiency with Adobe CC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create storytelling of the highest journalist standards.
• Edit a variety of video elements including voice-overs, SOTS, packages, graphics, opens and teases.
• Operate non-linear edit systems and use Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects & Photoshop).
• Coordinate incoming video feeds for recording and airing.
• Collaborate with news producers, reporters, photojournalists and the digital team to produce morning/evening shows.
• TUNE IN to Microwave Troll, Dejero, TVU Grid and satellites for live shots.
• Support live broadcasts on air and streaming when needed.
