Job summary

Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is seeking a Multimedia Specialist for the Clark County Library to provide technical and creative support for multimedia and Makerspace services. The role involves guiding customers, assisting with equipment and software, data collection, and programming under supervision.

The position is full-time (40 hours/week) and non-exempt, with a pay range of $31.79–$42.60 per hour and potential merit increases. Interviews anticipated around September 18, 2026.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of multimedia or Makerspace experience.
• Customer Service or public contact experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• GED or high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and instructs customers in the use of electronic and multimedia equipment and software programs.
• Assists with tools, equipment, and other technologies related to multimedia and/or makerspace activities.
• Collects a variety of data for program growth.
• Promotes library programs and collections to customers.
• Conducts outreach in the community to raise awareness of library services and programs.
• Plans, develops, and conducts library programs.
• Maintains the calendar of programs, activities, and events for the department.
• Performs basic maintenance, troubleshooting or repair on library equipment.
