Job summary

KLKN in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) / Anchor to deliver compelling local news. You will shoot, write, and edit packages, anchor newscasts, and contribute to the NOW Local News App with a creative vision.

This role requires strong on‑air presence, storytelling, and the ability to pitch timely stories. A Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field is preferred, and you should be prepared for nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Experience shooting and editing packages.

Responsibilities

• Shoot, write, and edit packages and vo-sots.
• Pitch stories with immediate impact.
• Anchor newscasts as assigned.
• Write stories for social media and our website.
• Produce content for the NOW Local News App.
• Produce special reports as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate curiosity and thrive under pressure.
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication.

KLKN in Lincoln, Nebraska is hiring a MMJ/Anchor to help us win the news of the day while executing the NOW brand. We’re looking for our “go to” person, who not only has a strong on‑air presence but is also a strong shooter/editor. We're looking for someone with a creative vision.
